- frogpelt 11y agoAccording to Thomas Sowell, this assumption is at the heart of the difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals assume "everyone is motivated, wants to improve their lives and do well in their jobs or in society" given the right system. Conservatives basically assume the opposite.
