I hate to be "that C#/MS guy" in yet another thread, but the Microsoft Datalake/HDinsight/HDFS/R-Evolution looks like it could be a really great platform for this stuff. I really like that it will integrate with a large number of data analysis products... Data Warehousing, Hadoop, Statistical Packages, R, etc. all on one platform/infrastructure would be a huge win to me.
