Unfortunately headphones will not prevent people from tapping you on your shoulder and interrupting your flow. I'm recently working remotely and I find that I'm a lot more productive in this environment than I was in open-plan offices. I do however miss the social aspect of easily being able to grab lunch with a couple of coworkers.
