- Florin_Andrei 11y agoRight. In theory, given enough time, both the Moon and the Earth should end up tidally locked to each other. Currently, only the Moon is locked to the Earth. In practice, it would take so long for the Earth to tidal-lock itself to the Moon, it's most likely some other major event will happen first (like the Sun expanding and swallowing the Earth).
