I have this way of picking technologies where I will try a bunch of them at the same time and naturally gravitate to the one that works best for me. After using Notepad++, ST2, and Atom I feel that Atom works best for me. I rarely have to use Google to find out how to use some features and it's reasonably snappy. I do need to give Visual Studio Code a fair shot. Heard a lot of good things about it.
