Storage isn't a network-externality heavy business as, say, social networking or, hell, desktop software. Your use of SpiderOak doesn't alter my utility function between SpiderOak/Dropbox/Google Drive/etc. Unless, of course, storage starts building the application layer in, as Google is wont to do... At any rate, it's a big potential market still.
