Ask HN: What is the current standard for rendering HTML after page load?

I'm familiar with pre-rendering but this case requires the use of JS variables defined on the front end. Hopefully one that has no negative effect on SEO, quick to download/render and seamless from the user's perspective. Any help is greatly appreciated.
