I wonder if DNA evidence will prove to be subject to the same kind of over-interpretation?

- Marazan 11y ago"Low copy number" DNA analysis has had a degree of controversy swirling over it.
- SixSigma 11y agoI like how they say "the chances of a match with a random chosen person and not the defendant is X" But people who are genetically related are not randomly distributed.
- jessaustin 11y agoAlso if DNA is the only thing linking the suspect to the crime, it's possible that something like a national DNA database just becomes a way to convict people for having been in places where crimes later occurred. If you have DNA, it's going to "match" some set of people.
