There's a lot of people who would love to know that trick. AFAIK there's no public disclosure of ownership of a corporation.
In any case, I thought whois privacy services were real addresses which could have mail/legal proceedings directed to them. I'm surprised to learn that they are all phony addresses. Thanks for teaching me something.
- contingencies 11y agoAFAIK there's no public disclosure of ownership of a corporation. Many jurisdictions allow you to query this information online as well as other significant information about any type of registered organization, not just corporations. I know for instance this is the case in Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, etc.
- gaadd33 11y agoReally? That's pretty cool. I always thought that Hong Kong at least had the same transparency issues that the US and UK have with corporations and trusts. Generally it's that the people nominated as directors or who are named in public filings are lawyers or other corporations and not the actual owners.
