There is a difference though. Tractors can take away some farm jobs. Robots will become increasingly versatile. They'll eventually be able to take away all retail jobs, all the low skill jobs. Then eventually, higher skill jobs too.
What will be left for humans to do? Art? Sex work? We might be able to build robots to do that as well.
- ekianjo 11y agoNo difference whatsoever. Robots don't build themselves yet, and don't program themselves either, so you'll still need a bunch of humans to do that work in the back. Or you will have people who will be willing to pay more to have a human touch instead of robots. Robots may become more versatile, but the day they can be as versatile as humans is not going to be in your or my lifetime. I hope you realize that, unless you are a member of the "Church of Singularity" :)
