How much finance math do you need ahead of time? Is it enough being a great developer who is willing and able to learn the financial side quickly?

- newhouseb 17y agoNot much, if any (in my experience). I have a background in network programming though - which lends itself very well to high speed trading.
- wglb 17y agoThat can work, particularly if you have networking. The very top jobs involve substantial math--statistics, simulated annealing, optimization, and such.
