Or were there 18 items, among which which was at least one computer? In either case, it's more than there should be, but it does make a difference in terms of severity. I wonder if this had more to do with it: Decisions are made in isolation with no input or communication with stakeholders Purchasing decisions are made with no consultation or input from others It sounds like he's managed to step on a good number of toes, and the rest was brought up to justify the firing.
