It's funny how "focusing on core competencies" usually reduces the set of core competencies gradually till all that left is management.
- gumby 11y agoThat is funny (though sadly common) because it's a good idea early on: focus on what really sets you apart when you start; then gradually expand your core competency so you can better control your fate. Unfortunately building big companies is not really in fashion these days.
