Continuing the sequence of overstretched metaphors I propose the related antipattern of Black Hole Component. BHC is so tightly coupled that any functionality that enters the area of its responsibility can never be factored out. The end result is of course that BHC consumes most of the functionality and more easily refactored components are mere shells of their older selves.
