Eh, to me fit comes down to that ineffable quality: chemistry. Chemistry can't be defined. It doesn't mean you're looking for people exactly like you... My office has a pretty diverse group. But the group gels because of interpersonal chemistry. Frankly, my opinion is that fit is equally important as skill set. The difference between a good team and a great one often comes down to chemistry, which causes the group to come together under pressure, to support one another, to coach and help one another, etc.
