I've been invited to interview at Google three times. And they've declined to hire me three times. The last time I interviewed there the quality of the people that interviewed me was much lower than the earlier two times. I was still rejected, but I felt much better about working somewhere else. I'm sure Google is still a great place to work, but its reminding me more and more of 1999 Microsoft. In fact the similarity is spooky.
