I don't think anyone in this thread is claiming that the government should force Strange Loop to allow Yarvin to speak.
- brazzledazzle 11y agoThen the whole point of the thread is kind of moot right? At this point what are we debating, what we would do if we organized conferences? If we're talking about what should be done or what's right it seems pointless given that we have no standing to enforce that. It would have made more sense to ask HN if we would boycott a conference or not. If you don't like conferences that evaluate a person's politics or beliefs voting with your wallet, attendance and in some cases speaking commitments seems like the best course of action.
