I want private conversations with my friends that my parents and teachers can't read. I want to be able to be a teen and do stupid things and talk about sex without having to have an awkward conversation with "adults" later. I really don't care if the NSA reads them, to be quite honest, since I don't really know them and they're not really going to have much to do with anything. I'm not a terrorist, I'm not going to be flagged. And I know that my parents and teachers can't access the NSA's data banks. Surveillance is different than privacy. Please don't confuse the two.
