Wouldn't it be better to just eliminate or reduce HR's involvement in the hiring process? Especially at a large or medium sized company, HR has roles outside hiring, like dealing with workplace harassment, ensuring compliance, and managing employee documents. Beyond filing paperwork, I agree that hiring shouldn't be an HR job. Unless HR is hiring for HR, let the teams decide who to hire.
