Utter nonsense. Automated driving aids have been developed for a long time by European car manufactuerers. Audi is now testing a fully automated var. Daimler just released a partially self driving truck.
- mkempe 11y agoVolvo is working on it as well. They are currently running a year-long experiment with a hundred self-driving cars in southern Sweden.
- narag 11y agoAids and full auto is not the same concept at all. What they're doing now is no indication of where the idea came from. So no, it's not "utter nonsense". No matter how many downvotes you pour on me, the fact that it was Google that brought this idea to mainstream in undeniable.
