Because some percentage of the population is made up of psychopaths lacking empathy who are willing to do things that the majority of the population cannot fathom.
- seanp2k2 11y ago...and some of them are very intelligent and very clever, and are able to rise to positions of power, wherein they get to make decisions about what's OK and what's not from a morality standpoint.
