Ask HN: How scalable can Apple HomeKit's network be?

1. Because it is WiFi and BLE based, won't range be a perpetual issue? 2. Would a non mesh based strict star-topology with Apple TV sitting at the center really work in larger homes? 3. What is the state of meshing in BLE and WiFi and are these smart-devices leveraging it? 4. Won't there be killer interference? Remember Steve Job's demo fail because of users had 570 wifi stations at the conference? Basically, what are your thoughts about this since a significant chunk of the IoT industry seems to be going the 6LoWPAN way.
