There was a New York Times article recently that highlighted some research that claimed that the new "wonder drug" Asprin added to the death toll at the time, as it prescribed in far too high of quantities.
- iamelgringo 17y agoYeah, it took the medical community a while to figure out what the appropriate dose of aspirin was. And, even then, it took us until the early 1990's to figure out that you really shouldn't give it to people under the age of 25 who have a fever because of the risk of Reye's syndrome.
