In college, in STEM, it seemed like all of the smartest women ran straight to academia and married a rich tech dude. The incentives are aligned nicely there. The smartest guys on the whole seemed to go into industry or start their own companies. I unfortunately was not smart enough for academia, and as a man have not found a rich woman willing to subsidize my lifestyle.
