I don't think the author has completely thought this through. Yes a "new" way of publishing i.e. self-publishing on electronic media is now possible but extrapolating that and making the leap to say that the Printed Book is itself becoming obsolete sounds quite far-fetched. I cannot imagine something like SICP on the kindle , where will i make my notes - where will i jot down the failed approaches i took to solve a problem and most importantly where is the tactile feel of turning a page and reading a book.
