Ugh, that culture sounds like hell on earth.
To you, yes. However I am sure there are currently X number of capitalists who are seeing this as an opportunity. I mean who is a better person to hire than someone whose entire self worth is based on having no fun and being productive all their waking hours.
- enknamel 11y agoIt's funny that you make that point because from the descriptions they sound like they could possibly be the only working communist society. Communism only works if you have zero imagination and zero ambition and just accept your lot in life.
- lmm 11y agoIt's long been observed that large firms are like communism "on the inside".
- somnicule 11y agoOkay, even buying into your caricature of capitalism, there are too many people making money selling entertainment for it to lead to this.
