- rdl 11y agoNexus phones also didn't even have a secure element before, unlike the high end choices from Samsung, etc. (which had non-standard support). Pretty annoying.
- thrownaway2424 11y agoWhat makes you think so? My Nexus S and Nexus 4 both have secure elements.
- rdl 11y agoOK, I meant the ones currently being sold: Nexus 5, etc.
- nodata 11y agoThe next gen do.
- Vexs 11y agoI never thought of that! Hopefully if vault becomes a common thing, we'll see more phones with microSD card slots! To be honest, a large part of choosing my phone was if it had a card slot or not, they give so many extra capabilities.
- sliverstorm 11y agoIt's mostly the Nexus line that doesn't have SD cards. Google was/is a big believer that multiple storage devices makes for bad user interaction.
- dazzla 11y agoSD cards are not popular in the US. Googler's also thought they were no longer popular. Mudge pointed out that outside of the US (emerging markets, Europe, etc) they are an essential feature.
