I have good memories of SF being the hub of OSS back in the day. I was particularly fond of how projects could actively post types of people they were looking for (artists, doc writers, etc) instead of just relying on being stumbled upon and/or just listing an issue. However, recently, I cringe if I somehow end up at an SF link. Feels like I'm on the wrong side of the Internet and that I can't trust any downloads from them.
