I totally understand the concept of not reinventing the wheel. Reminds me of the time when I was overjoyed at the fact that I figured out how to implement a flood filling (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flood_fill http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flood_fill) algorithm and then the next day I found something 20 times faster on Wikipedia.
