- eco 11y agoACM and its members have a code of ethics. Less than one percent of computer programmers are ACM members.
- e28eta 11y ago"Software Engineering Code of Ethics and Professional Practice (Version 5.2) as recommended by the ACM/IEEE-CS Joint Task Force on Software Engineering Ethics and Professional Practices and jointly approved by the ACM and the IEEE-CS as the standard for teaching and practicing software engineering." It certainly reads like it was written by a committee 15 years ago, but ACM and IEEE are the professional organizations for software, and I appreciate that this document exists.
