For people on very small teams, "use X not Y" is great.
For people on larger teams, or working next to teams of developers, "use X not Y" will lead to pushback of "why not?" and full answers will be needed.

- wolf550e 11y agoYou can cite meta-analysis, like in medicine. "The people who studied this concluded that using this method has a higher chance of bad side effects and lethal complications than using the suggested method".
