That would make brain perservation via digitalization a lot more viable. But just imaging the precise connection points and volume of neurons might not be enough if every cell's DNA is methylated in a slightly different way, i.e. depending on the memory is is part of not just the general brain region.
Then every neuron's DNA has to be specially sequenced to extract that information, and until such a technology can be applied to all the billions of neurons the brain has to be kept on ice.
