>We disagree with Reddit and other social democratic communities insofar that the view of a "safe platform" can be forced upon one another without resulting in a system that betrays the very meaning of the word "democratic". Rather, as illustrated by Frizbee, a successful establishment of a "safe platform" as we define it is a direct result of a culture built by the mutual trust users feel in their freedom.
I think I get it. The site redefines the phrase “safe platform” to mean what they want it to mean, instead of coining a new phrase, like “extreme freedom.”
> a culture built by the mutual trust users feel in their freedom.
If this catches on, I think what we will see is a rapid culling of anyone who does not feel “safe” in this Brave New Online World, leading to a situation where those who remain do in fact trust the system to keep them safe from moderation.
