Flagged for very misleading headline. He did use twitter, he refused to cooperate with the police and send a tweet.
- jacquesm 17y agoUsing twitter is not synonymous with cooperating with the police. Effectively he was arrested for not using this particular communications medium, which I didn't think was an effective crowd control measure to begin with. The police, in this case, have acted pretty dumb. Arresting people is supposedly reserved for serious offenses, 'refusing to tweet' isn't one of them. What's next ? You have to put a message on your facebook page or you'll be arrested for not cooperating ? Myspace ? The google wave ?
