Since Attic is fast and duplicating I do hourly backups via cron at work. At the end of the day I prune them all and do a daily backup via systemd on shutdown.

For offsite I manually sync via usb stick and unison, merge at home where daily backups are done as well. Rarely I update a backup hd stored at my parents.
