Ask HN: Are there commercial services that provide distress passwords?

I'm surprised this approach - which seems reserved to intelligence agencies - doesn't seem to be more widespread. Basically I just want a password I can enter into my computer / phone that will make it a brick. Or in the case of a bank, something I could enter to lock my account or notify the authorities.
