I understand your sentiment, the reason that this is such a stigma in the industry is because if you do have the ever-elusive, ever-exclusive, high performing team - a single person who doesn't fit in (not saying in what aspect, could be culture, skill, collaboration, communication, etc) will ruin the entire team and the team's momentum.
