I'm currently living in Austin, TX, working for a bigger tech company and I love it. Its still a huge tech city and I have plenty of opportunities for growth. But you have other cities such as Boston, Chicago, Denver, Portland (?), and Los Angeles that are up and coming tech cities. Also don't forget about NYC. Don't just limit yourself to one area.
