- brudgers 11y agoMuch like Road Warrior. On the other hand, making a movie where the villains are simply villainous because they are willing to use violence to take oil from people who simply want to live their lives and keep it, that's not exactly the sort of big budget theme Hollywood can stomach. These days the oil scarcity narrative works better for blockbuster audiences with the political subjugation of women as the primary determinant of villainy. Women fighting invaders to protect hearth and home, just don't require enough rescuing for the 21st century.
