Even leaving aside the health issues: I've had the misfortune of diagnosing computer hardware problems in a household of heavy smokers. Computers get dusty and dirty after a while anyway, but cigarette smoke is something else entirely. I have never seen anything like it since. Suffice to say it doesn't do the hardware any favours.
