I like downvoted comments. I always pick up a couple of them when reading the comments to get a view of the people who think outside the norm. Sometimes they are genuinely stupid, but sometimes you get very interesting remarks on things which the "established norm" dislikes.
- spacemanmatt 11y agoSometimes the established norm is pretty far from the HN norm, too. It's an interesting way to learn about the (more active) users here. Not a rigorous or a scientific way, of course.
- xkiwi 11y agoThis is something very similar to the Seniority in government system. The one who been there longer has more power, even they do not have brilliant idea nor ability to perform.
