Your boss may be doing you a favor, to force you to reconsider that behavior. If you don't improve, I would expect you'll get fired eventually. If I run a weekly meeting at 9am and you have been late every single time for the last 6 months, I'm going to be very unhappy. This has nothing to do with whether you do a good job the rest of the time.
