- digital-rubber 11y agoWhile the application, site etc might be secure as secure can be. It's only one layer of the whole chain. Novice users don't understand the whole, points where it could go wrong. Your mom (and users alike) do tend to click on those 'funny or phishing links', that friends and family members send her. Get the machine infected and the email content could be read while being typed… So that lovely encrypted message could have already been captured before she even hits send….
