- erikb85 17y agoanother advice: use tags! Most Version Control System have the ability to connect commits with tags. Especially if U follow the advice "make small atomic commits". Tags help to keep an overview. Branches help too, in that matter. But sometimes U don't have that choice, because Ur company policy dictates how to use branches (the case in many german companies, like my actual one).
