Anyone know how quantcast gets its numbers? Reddit itself [1] claims 169 million (global) uniques last month. I suppose its possible US uniques are down, but I'm guessing the stats are just off.

- cheald 11y agoQuantcast raw numbers are usually way off, but their relative values usually aren't that out of line with reality. A big drop in Quantcast is something to take note of, barring something like measurement error. That said, I just checked my employer's traffic as measured by Quantcast, and it says that we've lost 60% of our year-over-year traffic, too, though I know for a fact that we are in fact growing on those metrics, so I'm inclined to disbelieve that these numbers are accurate.
- caminante 11y agoGood question. compete.com[1] has ~72% more uniques for March. [1] https://siteanalytics.compete.com/reddit.com/ https://siteanalytics.compete.com/reddit.com/
