- blang 17y agoYea this CEO's math does inspire confidence in the company. Value of an MBA/2 years vs 3 * values of an MBA/10 years.
- aik 17y agoThe simple point is the value of experience over a "world-class education system". It's quite an enlightening idea. The thousands and thousands of people paying a ridiculous amount for a "quality education" would disagree I'm sure.
- kmano8 17y agoI've been lucky to experience both formal education, and quite a bit of service experience. Both were uniquely life changing for me in the social realm as well as academia. The common thread between these two experiences was the people I surrounded myself with.. without them, I likely would've learned quite a bit less of myself.
- megamark16 17y agoI totally agree, the people that you surround yourself with, either in academics or in the workplace, can certainly have an enormous impact on how much you learn and grow personally. Maybe it's time to change jobs... :-)
- aik 17y agoVery true. The trick then is how can you surround yourself with these unique people without spending 40k a year on education? (I would appreciate an answer to this. My sister is considering spending that amount soon and an alternative would be great.)
