  That's good advice, but you also have to know when it's good to ignore legal advice (it depends on how risk averse you are I guess :) ). Many startups flaunt current laws and are very succesful (see AirBnB or Uber). I think PG wrote something on this (mostly on the "hackers beat the system" sense).
