Yes, CPU version can be accelerated as well, depending on availability of SSE extensions.
- Narishma 11y agoShouldn't that be the default assumption? It's pretty rare to not have SSE.
- sharpneli 11y agoOn X86_64 it's impossible not to have SSE. So unless you develop for 32bit X86 systems you can assume the availability of vector instructions.
- castratikron 11y agoSSE is probably more common than a $1000 GPU.
