MS has some interesting technologies, like F# & .NET, but I wonder if people trust MS to do the right thing on the server? (One braindead misfeature can screw up everything)
- sarvesh 17y agoThey have had one too many braindead misfeatures already in .Net e.g., Linq-to-SQL. C# and F# have come long pretty good, kudos to them on that. Integrating Azure with their development stack is a really good move.
- dagw 17y agoGiven that Microsoft has anywhere between 25-45% market share (depending on where you get your numbers) on servers obviously someone is trusting them. And it's not like the Unix world hasn't had its share of "braindead misfeatures" over the years.
