- thanley 11y agoI would also recommend a Bekant regular desk and this setup: http://iamnotaprogrammer.com/Ikea-Standing-desk-for-22-dollars.html http://iamnotaprogrammer.com/Ikea-Standing-desk-for-22-dolla...
- J-dawg 11y agoThis is pretty cool, I was just going to complain that I couldn't afford the electronic version. Typically, it is more expensive here in the UK than in the US. It's $489 in the US [1] and £465 ($705) in the UK [2] [1]http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S49022524/ http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S49022524/ [2]http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S69054632/#/S49061191 http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S69054632/#/S4906...
- calinet6 11y agoStanding desks aren't the end-all be-all solution!
- gkop 11y agoYup. I'd go so far as to say be careful not to stand too much at your new standing desk at first, and in fact pay extra special attention to keyboard and monitor height - their relative positions may be different when standing vs. sitting. (Anecdote: I screwed up my legs pretty bad when a client gave me a standing desk last year and I attempted to maximize my time spent in the standing position. Took about 6 months to recover)
